Notations Lab

Notations is an interdisciplinary lab for musicians, performers, sound artists, visual artists, and technologists. Participants will work with archival Armenian classical music, reinterpreting it through the lens of contemporary sound, media, and performance.

The project aims to create new forms of interaction between tradition and technology. The lab will culminate in a public showcase featuring live performances, installations, and sonic experiments. Selected projects will receive support for further international promotion.

Who we’re looking for:

• Musicians, performers, composers, and sound artists
  (working with archives, technology, instruments, and voice)
• Media and visual artists
  (video art, light, generative graphics, interactive formats)
• Engineers and technologists
  (working at the intersection of art and new media)

Participation details:

• Location: Armenian State Philharmonic, Yerevan
• Full residency in Yerevan
• Accommodation and meals provided
• Access to archives, mentorship from curators and experts
• Opportunity to present the project at international festivals and platforms
